Girona, Spain

We landed at the Girona airport at about midnight, caught a taxi, and headed straight to our hotel.  Girona is about an hour by train from Barcelona.  We ended up there because that's where the budget European airline flies.  Obviously we just crashed in our hotel room that night once we arrived.  Sunday morning we decided to explore the old part of Girona before we caught the train to Barcelona.  A few hours of exploring was just the right amount of time for this city.

We went up and down MANY stairs in Girona, so we had to pick up and carry the stroller a lot!

View of a church tower.

Girona was originally a walled town.  Much of the wall has been preserved/restored, so of course we walked along it!  Here Will is stopped in one of the guard towers along the wall.

See more of the wall in the background.
