Alghero, Italy

After a week at Villa Teresa, we said good-bye to John, Michael, and the Sheldens.  Will, Amy, my parents, and I headed to Alghero, Sardinia for the afternoon before we had to catch our flight to Spain.  In Alghero (which is a town of about 44,000 according to wikipedia) we parked the car and headed into the old town.  We walked around the old city walls along the Mediterranean before we headed into the narrow streets.

We got gelato as we walked into town from our car.  We had to have gelato on our last day in Italy (little did we know that the streets of Barcelona where also filled with lots of gelaterias!)

We ate our last meal in Italy at this restaurant.  We sat on the higher balcony that overlooked the marina.

I had some delicious gnocchi and wine (of course!).  Will enjoyed some bread.

After a nice afternoon we caught a 10:45 pm flight to Spain where our adventures continued!  Stay tuned!
