Touch a Truck

Will woke up early (and super grumpy) from his nap today, so I decided he needed an activity.  We headed across town for the annual Touch A Truck event that benefits a children's charity.  There were over 20 trucks, trailers, and other vehicles for the kids to climb on.  Will especially liked watching the police helicopter take off and fly over the field, running around inside the hot air balloon, running up and down the ramp of a horse trailer, and "driving" a number of trucks and machines.  The event was also across the street from the airport so we saw many planes coming in to land.  We went on a hay ride and the driver of the tractor spotted a plane and parked us right underneath its path.  Will clapped and said "yay" after that!  He also tried to get on the tractor instead of in the wagon and wanted eat some hay as we got out.

Driving a Coke Truck.

This one had lots of cool controls.  Will also thought it was hilarious when I opened and shut the front door.

Working the controls!

Up and Down the ramp!

Of course we had a take a break from looking at trucks and run through a big field!

Learning how the digger works!

Busy at work!
The hot air balloon!
Running into the balloon!

Yay! I'm in a balloon!

Driving the Garbage Truck!
We had a really good time and when we got home John had homemade lasagna waiting for us!  A nice way to end a Sunday afternoon.
