Chicago Weekend

John and I spent last weekend in Chicago celebrating Mitch (our good friend from Hanover) and Juli's wedding.  John was a groomsman so we were involved in wedding festivities all weekend.  Unfortunately some nasty Chicago traffic made us miss most of the wedding rehearsal.  John got a brief overview of his duties and managed to do everything correctly on the wedding day.  We then enjoyed a nice dinner at Goose Island Brewery with the rest of the wedding party.

After a rainy Friday, the wedding day was bright and sunny.  I forgot to pack appropriate shoes and coats for a blustery Chicago morning so our walk to get lunch was a little chilly.  The wedding ceremony started at 2pm.  Between the wedding and the reception we got to travel with the rest of the wedding party on a trolley around downtown Chicago.  We stopped 2-3 times to take photos.  The wedding reception was on the 80th floor of the Aon building at the Mid America Club.   We had incredible views of the city from all the windows.  We enjoyed the chance to catch up with some of our Hanover friends.  Definitely a fun weekend!

Don't worry about Will, he was having fun in Kentucky and Indiana playing outside, attending a dedication ceremony, and going to an around the world dinner.
Will and Mimi represented the Ratliffs at the dedication of Hambrick Village (named in honor of my grandparent who are to the left of the sign).
