- Charlie started feeding himself puffs, fruit in his fruit feeder, yogurt bites, and bananas. By the end of the month he was refusing to eat more than a jar of baby food at a time before he insisted on feeding himself. He is now typically eating three meals a day and having 4-5 bottles a day.
- Charlie is trying very hard to learn how to crawl. When he is sitting up he can bend all the way down and reach toys. He also scoots around on his bottom a lot. By the end of the month he could almost get himself into crawling position. Charlie can also sit up on his own, but has only done it a few times.
- Charlie is finally on a schedule during the day. He typically takes about an hour long morning nap sometime around 9:30. Then he takes a 1-2 hour afternoon nap around 2. I finally have both boys napping (or sometimes just resting for Will) at the same time in the afternoon.
- Charlie loves his big brother. He especially likes reading books on Will's bed before naptime. He is absolutely crazy! He bounces around the bed on this bottom, tries to steal Will's blankets, tries to rip the books from my hands, and usually laughs the whole time.
- Charlie also loves the tub! He and Will take baths together now and Charlie often splashes more than Will! Occasionally he slips and goes under water, but as long as I pick him right up he is okay with it. Unfortunately we have multiple spells of cooler weather this summer, so water in the pool has been too chilly for him. The few times we have had him in a nice warm pool he likes that too. We go on two vacations in the next month and I plan to have him work on his swimming a lot!
