Aunt Amy arrived in time for dinner on the 23rd. She and I got started on some holiday baking after Will went to bed. I contributed dough for sugar cookies while Amy made mini peppermint chocolate cheesecakes, fudge, and red velvet cake (obviously she is the more talented baker).
My parents and Michael arrived around lunch time on Christmas Eve. We decorated some cookies while Michael and John started watching West Wing Christmas episodes. We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner together and then exchanged gifts. My parents headed back to my grandparents after we exchanged gifts, and we got ready for Santa's arrival.
Christmas morning Will, Charlie, John, and I opened the gifts and stockings Santa left for us. Will was pretty excited to see his new kitchen and knock down towers built with his new blocks. My parents came back down for a few hours to check out Will's new gifts. After Will's nap we all met back up at my grandparents for dinner. Our appearance there was brief, but for a few hours all my grandparents' children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were together which doesn't happen very often!
Unfortunately my parents and siblings had to head back to Indiana Christmas night so they could beat the blizzard. Although it was shorter than planned it was great to see everyone!
