Will turned 11 months old on Saturday. We spent the day at Keeneland with John's family. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time tailgating and watching the races. Will tried not to steal too much attention from his Aunt Sarah since we were there to celebrate her birthday. Will tailgated in style in his very own high chair his Nana brought from her house. He then enjoyed crawling around the tailgating area and making a friends with a two year old girl. After tailgating Will was pretty tired so he took a nap in his stroller during the first few races. Once he woke up he did like watching the horses in the paddock and race around the track.
It is hard to believe that Will's first birthday is in less than a month! Here are a few things he is into these days.
- Will can pull himself up and then stand on his tippy toes making it possible for him to reach most things in our house. He is curious about everything, so if he can reach it he pulls in down to the floor.
- Will has mastered using a sippy cup with handles.
- Most days Will is just taking one nap in the early afternoon. He usually sleeps for 1.5-2 hours. He typically sleeps from about 8:15pm-7:30am at night.
- He has six teeth, two on bottom and four on top.
- At the park he likes to swing and go down the slide. He also likes to crawl around and eat mulch, but he isn't given that option often.
- He loves to be outside, especially if he is given the freedom to explore. Yesterday he picked a tomato and took a big bite out of it while we were playing the backyard.
- He loves bubbles.
- He loves to dance. If there is music of any type he will start moving his shoulders from side to side.
- He talks all the time, but we don't have any idea what he is trying to say.
- Will still loves Baxter, going for walks in his stroller, other kids, and eating.
He is also way too active to sit still and smile for photos very often, but here are some good pictures I got while I followed him around the yard.
